At the rear side of the test body a spot of little wall thickness is fitted. If you work with a milling strategy using measurements at the cavity side, this will lead to a whole that indicates to change the milling strategy.

Two parallel planes were fitted, in bucco-lingual and mesiodistal direction, having an exact distance in the data records of 6mm and 5mm, respectively. By means of these planes the user can check the accuracy of his machine.

Every test body has different measurements for its inner geometry. With taking the number of the test body the appropriate library for the machine can be selected. By adapting the library to the machine and not to the milling strategy you will gain a more coherent final result when milling the abutments.
